This presentation will include an overview of the California State Tree Mortality Task Force, how tribes can be involved, what the impact Tree Mortality has had on CA Tribal resources, what are some of the resources available and touch on how Climate Change has been a key factor. Specifically, the speaker will focus on her Tribe, the Tuolumne Band of Me-Wuk Indians and the impact of bark beetles to their natural resources. Tuolumne also is an active member in the State-wide and Tuolumne County Tree Mortality Task Force and this presentation will share not only some of the barriers but highlight some of the lessons learned.
